A life drawing session with Martin Morris

Honestly one of the most unique experiences of life drawing I've ever had.
It was a refreshing break from the more traditional observation we had been doing.
This time we were asked to put all that a side and explore a more naive/primitive way at looking at drawing.

From thick swooping lines
to
feeling out each shape with our charcoal covered finger tips.

We were asked to make six squares for each large sheet.
Stripping our mind from any words or predisposed ideas of what is in front of us.

Bringing as much force and attention to whats happening in the foreground as well as the model.

Creating depth with minimal tonal ranges.

The final display! Can't believe its over.
More! More!

My first drawing (right) of the session compared to the last one (left).
