Making a piece of plasticine seem weightless.
Basically, make the impossible possible.
BUT
since it's animation, nothing is impossible. NOTHING.
(hands up for optimism whoopwhoop!)
So far we've done Pose to Pose exercises
(make a coin move like a pendulum) and planning every key frame out
to animating Straight Ahead actions (hand turns, jumping squares).
Switching from one type of mindset to another has been confusing but I think I'm starting to understand the balance a little more.
Any great animation needs a little bit of chaos and control.
Knowing when to hold back and when to let your imagination run wild.
